Discover the Can-Umantad Falls of Candijay

Be hold the tallest waterfalls in Bohol – The Can-umantad Falls located in Cadapdapan, Candijay Bohol. A 30 minute travel from the poblacion of Candijay and you’re about to see this amazing and definitely stunning water fall which is 60 feet high and is said to be the tallest waterfall in Bohol. It’s clean, clear and cold water will surely pull you to enjoy swimming. The name Can-umantad means “kan-uman/kaunuman” or six times.

This site is suitable for picnics and other fun activities with your loved ones while it freely massages your back with the splash of heavy flowing water.

 How to get to Candijay?
You can ride either van or a bus in Tagbilaran City Dao Terminal. Travel time is roughly 2-3 hours. Be sure to stop at barangay Lungsod-daan market. The road to Can-umantad is in the left side of the market.

How to get to Can-Umantad Falls?
If you are to a public transportation, hire a “habal-habal” or a motorcycle. They always stay near the highway. I suggest you ride the same motorcycle back and forth for a sure travel. It is quite far from the highway. Only few motorcycle stay in Can-Umantad to fetch passengers. Make an agreement with the driver either will they wait for you or will just come back on the time agreed.

How much is the entrance fee?
In public entrance the charge is only P10.00. The private entrance of Eleuterio’s Can-Umantad Falls & Rice Terraces Resort Incorporated charge is P30.00 and additional P20.00 for motorcycle parking fee.

What to bring?
Always bring the food and water. The place is quite far from any store so better a scout. Use a strong but comfy slippers or shoes. Expect a long and rough walk. Don’t forget to bring along with you your camera for documentation purposes.

What can you expect to Can-Umantad Falls?
I don’t want to spoil your experience but I just want to let you see how wonderful the place is. If you’re tired of going to the beach every summer, this must be a fantastic idea to travel to a terrific falls.

The Can-Umantad falls is said to be as the tallest falls in Bohol. I saw it myself and it was splendid.

How to Get There If you  travel  from Tagbilaran City, get a ride going to the Bus Terminal and get a Bus or a V-hire / GT Express bound for Ubay (usually with sign Boards, Jagna-Ubay). Your drop must be at the Municipality of Candijay Tourism Office and look for the tourism officer.
